FAQ
Common questions.
What is a design partner, as opposed to a customer?
A design partner is an organization that deploys PanOps in exchange for a structured feedback relationship with the PanOps team. You use the product for real - this is not a beta access program or a demo environment. In exchange, you give us direct feedback on what works, what doesn't, and what Signal should do differently. The engagement fee exists to ensure mutual commitment - not as a revenue source. First-time customers who convert after the design partner period receive their first three months free.
What happens to my data?
Your data never leaves your isolated environment. PanOps is entirely responsible for that environment from start to finish: provisioning your isolated environment, managing it during the engagement, terminating it at the end of the engagement, and porting all related client data back to you. Throughout, your communications, queries, and organizational intelligence stay inside your own dedicated environment - never aggregated, never used for model training, never visible to another customer. Your encryption keys are customer-owned, and PanOps holds only the controlled operational access needed to run the service. Isolation between customers is architectural, not a policy promise. See the Security & Privacy page for full detail.
What does PanOps actually access?
PanOps accesses your isolated environment during provisioning to set up infrastructure. Once provisioning is complete, ongoing access to your communications data, query history, or Signal responses is not required and is not maintained. your data is never exposed to another customer - the encryption keys are yours and can be disabled on request. We do have access to infrastructure-level telemetry (compute usage, uptime) for the purposes of managing the environment on your behalf. We do not have access to data inside it.
How long does onboarding actually take?
The full deployment - from provisioning start to first Signal query - typically takes approximately one hour, though timing varies by organization. This includes automated environment provisioning (typically around 20 minutes), connector authorization (typically 15 to 30 minutes depending on the number of connectors), and employee enrollment. PanOps manages the infrastructure work. Your team's involvement is limited to an initial onboarding call and the connector authorization steps. No IT project. No professional services engagement.
